Yahoo! Go 3.0 Launched in US

Yahoo! has announced the launch of its all-in-one mobile offering, “Yahoo! Go 3.0″ beta at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2008 in Las Vegas.

“Yahoo! Go 3.0″ enables users to find the information they need from the Internet onto their phone’s small screen.

The service offers a personalized start page and customizable access to various Internet brands and services through third-party widgets such as eBay, MySpace and MTV.

The Home widget for “Yahoo! Go 3.0″ offers users an at-a-glance update of what’s new since their last visit; such as how many new e-mails have arrived, upcoming calendar appointments, and new photos posted to Flickr by friends, etc.

In addition, the service also includes a customizable collection of mobile snippets that include news headlines and weather conditions. Users can navigate “Yahoo! Go 3.0″ through a choice of two views — either the traditional carousel or the new icon layout.

The beta is presently available for download in the US at http://go.yahoo.com. It is expected to be available worldwide over the coming months.
